Review on πŸ”§ LAUNCH Tech LAU301050345 90 Millennium ABS SRS OBDII EOBD Diagnostic Scan Tool by Tony Wilson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great tool if you are a certified mechanic, terrible tech support

The main reason I bought the Launch Millennium 90 is to bleed the ABS brakes on two of my cars and it is quite easy to do, so everything else optional for me. I don't currently have any MIL issues or any other issues with either car, but I was intrigued by all the other features of this tool. Also, it was the only tool in this price range I could find to bleed the brakes. The tool has many sub-menus and sub-sub-menus and lots of information and areas where you can run into problems if you press the wrong button at the wrong time. The problem is that the tool comes with a very simple guide on how to download and update the software. There is no user guide anywhere, so try to figure out how to use it or what the various pieces of information mean for yourself. I tried contacting tech support and they didn't help at all, which I found typical of these OBD2 scan tools. If you're a certified mechanic then this tool will probably suit you, but if like me you're into DIY then good luck. Plan to play with the tool for hours to figure it out, but to be honest the tool is pretty simple, intuitive and fast. I bought two books on using OBD2 scanners and troubleshooting DTCs and MILs - it would be nice if the manufacturer provided some help for a tool with this level of performance.

Cons
