Review on Flow Rite RV2000 Pro Fill Battery Kit by Brandon Rogers

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Some settings require trimming.

Some reviewers note that the system does not provide sufficient battery charge. Only time will tell if it was a system glitch or user error. The cell lid design seems to work, but stranger things have been happening. {It seems worthwhile to visually check the levels after the first few months of use to make sure everything is working properly.) Setting up the system for a couple of Trojan T-105 batteries was fairly easy. The covers easily lock into place with a 1/4 turn clockwise. To minimize stress from bent tubing, it seemed sensible to measure and cut tubing between cells. The hardest part of this process was removing the hoses from the cap fittings, but it wasn't too bad. For someone with weak hands, this may seem uncomfortable. Some of the barb fittings that press into the top of the caps have o-rings installed. Previous experience with o-rings led me to coat them with silicone grease. When pressed onto the top of each lid, they made an audible "click". In this case, the connection becomes very strong and it seems that it is difficult to break it. If you don't hear a click, you have installed the fitting incorrectly. I could speculate that other reviewers' comments about fittings coming out of caps could be the result of incomplete seating. Possibly coupled with torque or stress from too long a tube. The section of tubing that connects to the Bulb pump features a patented quick disconnect (Flow-Rite). If another aftermarket pump is used, you may need to purchase a compatible fitting from the manufacturer or replace the quick connect with a different fitting set. For battery systems that are difficult to access, this irrigation system can be a viable solution.
