Review on Wi-Fi signal amplifier (repeater) TP-LINK RE305, white by Wiktor Janusz ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The product is good, there are only a few minor flaws.

The device immediately attracts attention and makes you want to buy it. but on closer inspection there are doubtful points: - the antennas are rather weak, where the Wi-Fi device through 2 walls so-so catches the signal of the router, and this repeater also catches so-so. Those. no better. And when placing it somewhere in the middle, subscriber devices do not really increase the signal quality and communication speed :) - BY. You are greeted by a friendly setup wizard, in one and a half clicks, supposedly everything is configured. you carry the repeater to its place of work, iiiiiii nothing. Go into the device, nothing has a connection with anything. Look at the points below, but they are all empty, there are no settings left after the wizard anywhere. Double checked. Hammer everything with pens, simultaneously starting over 3 times, because. then 2.4 networks are not searched, then 5 . You reboot a couple of times and then everything works exactly. :) But it's already working fine!

Pros
  • - Price - Appearance of packaging and product - Build quality - Friendly software - For someone, external antennas with a variable angle of inclination
Cons
  • - So-so instruction in all its versions (one is not translated, not everyone knows English well, the second is short and generally about nothing, etc.) - Antennas and mid-range coverage - Crooked software
