Really nice upgrade!

It was installed in the '99 Damon Challenger replacing a very outdated black and white system that eventually gave up. It's really cute! Installation isn't exactly easy, but it's pretty simple. Installing the monitor and camera took about an hour, and wiring it took about three hours. I decided to run it indoors. Direction was down the rear clamp, forward through the right brake light, through the rear bay and in. This was the hardest as I ran it in the blind channel for about five feet. I used a 6 foot 1/4" string and ran it through. From there, down under the closets to go up the steps, then back up and along the right side wall, mostly hidden by the old shag carpet! I used a 5/8" wood bit for all holes. It looks great, has a good image and works as advertised. Great upgrade and reasonable price and setup time. The only problem is with the instructions (I'm a retired technical writer). While it's almost impossible to cover EVERY installation, the instructions are pretty sparse. Example: They offer simple wire splicing clips that work great. I was familiar with them, but many people won't. There is nothing special to explain them. Also, you may need extra screws, especially if you're working with a fiberglass case. Also big ties and maybe duct tape. Still a great product, highly recommended.
