OEM battery mounts easy to install

I bought my 2005 Outback (2.5i Automatic) used so no mount was included although I didn't realize it for about three years. I'm glad I got one because it's pretty easy to install and fits perfectly. For assembly: nuts 10 mm. The short leg extends through the flat part of the bracket and past the "back" of the battery, i.e. the side closest to the windshield; it clings to a small hole in the back of the car. The long leg goes through the sloped part of the bracket and "in front" of the battery, the part closest to the washer fluid reservoir; it hooks onto a small tab on the battery platform. First I had to attach a short leg and then a long one to get everything to fit. and dense everything is good enough. The design of the mount itself leaves something to be desired as it requires a bit of fiddling to get it in place, but it definitely does the job.
