I just tried this pump to inflate the tires on my car. So I used a cigarette lighter adapter for power. I had no trouble connecting the pump and setting the desired air pressure and compression rating units. The instructions on one page do not tell you how to mount the lever to mount the air hose nozzle on the tire valve. Immediately inspecting the nozzle and moving the lever back and forth, I found that you move the lever up (parallel to the hose), push the nozzle against the valve and then pull the lever down. Then I press the start button. Everything was good; The pump worked and inflated the tire to the set pressure (at least I assume - I don't have a separate pressure gauge). But then it didn't turn off the pump - it kept running, but the tire pressure didn't rise (or I don't think so - the pressure shown on the pump display didn't change, but I don't have a separate pressure gauge to check). You have to manually press the start button again to turn off the pump (what happened to the auto shut off? Is it a malfunction? Or does it just work that way?). The pump is a bit noisy, but it doesn't last long (about 3 seconds per half psi). The real test is how long does the pump last? We'll see over time. Then I take it away. The included carry case is pretty basic. They have a pump, two different power cords (AC and DC) and a small plastic zipper with adapters for other inflatable items (bike tires, balls, etc.). The bag has neither outside nor inside pockets for these things. You just have to put them in your pocket the way they fit. They fit - I dropped the adapters down, plugged in the pump, then ran a power cord from each side of the pump. After playing around with it a bit, I closed my bag. It would be nice to have separate pockets for adapters and cables.
