Review on MiLocks TKK-02OB: High-Security Digital Door Knob Lock for Interior Doors, Oil Rubbed Bronze Finish by Rusty Calcara

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great lock - negative reviews about it shame me

I have a Vivint home security system. Keypad locks on all 3 interior doors, doorbell camera, 4 additional exterior cameras, door sensors, multiple glass breakage sensors, fire/CO2 sensor and motion sensor. I bought this to mount on an indoor garage door. Pros: (1) Easy to install (I think those who said the threads were wrong didn't follow the instructions or used the wrong screws - I thought about the same thing for about 2 seconds before I figured out what I had to do/use) ; (2) quality (it's "rough" - heavy, feels solid when you pick up the doorknob); (3) Easy programming (I used the same few key codes for everyone in the house that I use in my home security system); (4) backlit keyboard (my expensive Vivint doesn't have one); function, but there is an auto-lock feature that automatically locks the door (5-10 seconds) after you close the door (those who complain that it "locks too much" - you have a switch instead in the battery compartment which is set to "Auto-on" "Off"). Cons: No! Of course I can't. I can't control this keyboard with the app, how can I control my home security system but I don't need it. This lock is for convenience only to avoid carrying a key for the only door out of 4 that is not integrated with the home security system. Now that I lock the door behind me when I enter the garage to ride my motorcycle, I no longer have to go outside to re-enter the house if I forgot something. I have a keyboard that takes me straight back in. No complaints here - I'm very satisfied and it was a STEAL for the price I paid.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
