If a 3 liter fondue glass seems too big for you. I made cheese fondue as an appetizer for a large dinner (for a party of 12) and this pot was still a tad larger than I needed. This can be a great option if you're hosting fondue parties for a group, but I'd say if you're only going to use this for small parties or infrequently, go for something about half the size. I would also like to reiterate what other people have said about the very short cord - it seems its main purpose is to make cheese or chocolate fondue in the kitchen and then take it to the serving table, I can't imagine it being in the middle lies table with oil for frying meat. Very good in terms of presentation, processing etc.
