NOT universal fits toilet handles

I have a regular toilet so I chose this handle which is advertised as universal and adjustable. Neither the one nor the other. Plastic cracks when "cut to size" and doesn't fit my side handle toilet. Even if it could be cut, there aren't enough holes to connect the chain.
