I used to do plumbing projects and replace water heaters. I got it all together and put teflon tape on all the brass threads, pushed everything in, and it's dripping out of these valves where they come together. I thought maybe I just needed to tighten it up - no luck. I took it all apart, wrapped it 10 times with teflon tape and reassembled it correctly (practicing tightening it). Still flowing, only slowly small droplets forming gradually. Everything disassembled and connected directly WITHOUT those "convenient" valves. no leaks! I've probably spent more hours fiddling with them and trying to remake them than they would have ever saved me over the life of my heater when I'm in the process of removing the descaling lines. God. If I send it back for a refund, I don't get my holiday back.
