I am converting a van into an RV. My intention is to be all electric. My goal was to be able to operate the air conditioner offline. I probably won't be doing this very often, but if I can then I shouldn't have any problems with my electrical system's performance. Attempting to run my AC on anything other than shore power was not feasible. The generator stops and/or trips the circuit breaker. The same goes for my inverter - it immediately turned off the output switch at startup. I had to read the instructions a couple of times - I was very careful as I didn't want to damage this unit or my AC - but once installed I was able to easily start my AC with a generator OR an inverter. Look forward to cool times even when they are offline!
