The box is strong enough for the money but the boxes don't work smoothly when empty and it feels like they're about to fall apart and the box is new. The locks are very light, not what you would call heavy duty. Would be good for light use but not real instruments. I replaced one of the same size that wore out after about 5 years of use, it's no longer available. I won't even waste my time putting my tools in this box. I would gladly have paid more for a box worth having. Very disappointing.
