Review on Jack Wolfskin Cascade πŸ₯Ύ Low K Unisex-Child Hiking Boot by Chris Cervantes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A beautifully finished children's shoe/sneaker

We got the size 34, in black/blue and it turns out that way. Size 34 corresponds to an inside length of 20.6 cm. Nevertheless, I think that these are "fair-weather sneakers", when it rains it's definitely wet feet. The manufacturer advertises an EVA midsole that is said to have a cushioning effect. EVA is the material that I know from my Birkenstock outsoles or the rubber models. It is very flexible, yet stable and robust. The sneaker can be bent, and children's feet can also roll off easily. The insole is removable and has a traditional print (in the shape of smiling toes ☺) to test the optimal fit. They are beautiful in 2 colors (blue-black) and certainly also robust, but especially for the smaller sizes the flexi bands are easy to handle. Because even if our son can tie the bow at the age of 6, it is usually quite loose. We have now tied the shoes and made a double loop that remains closed. Good slip loops are attached to the heels so that he can easily slip in with the help of a shoehorn. €50 not unusual for a brand name shoe. As mentioned, the only drawback from my point of view is that no child-friendly flexible shoelaces are used for slipping into the smaller sizes.

Pros
  • Despite their high build quality and performance, the Jack Wolfskin Cascade Low K hiking shoes are affordable and offer excellent value for money.
Cons
  • The laces may not be tied securely, creating a trip hazard on the trail.
