This is the 18 " version, not the 22 ".

Just bought this from Revain and went to install this morning. ATTENTION, before ordering, measure the height of the jack. There are two versions sold by Lippert, one with room for an 18" jack (this one) and another version with room for a 22" jack. I need to reorder the correct height version for my jack.

This will not work if the camper has a manual crank!

Nowhere in the literature is it mentioned that it cannot work with a conventional hand crank. The main structure of the Power Tower product rests on a conventional crank tower in such a way that the crank cannot rotate. Intuition mentions removing the rubber stopper on the "power tower" and ten improvisations with a ratchet that can rotate the tongue up/down. COURT! I'll send it back if Revain covers the postage.

Does its job well.

This bike rack was purchased to install for its intended purpose. It will be the bikes leaning towards the van. But when I installed it, there wasn't enough space between the van and the trunk to accommodate the bike. Apparently my tongue is shorter than most. So I flipped the top of the rack and rotated it towards my truck. I was lucky that it was still high enough not to hit the body of my truck when turning. Overall I like it and it serves its purpose.

very easy to install

As other reviewers have said, very easy to install. Had to be assembled and placed on a trailer in less than 30 minutes. The tricky part was figuring out where to place the bike hangers. It took me over an hour to hang the bikes in the right spot. Bikes hang on tires. We took our trailer to and from Indiana to Myrtle Beach with the bikes and it worked great. Very little, if any, influence from bicycles. The hardest part for us was putting the rear bike on the rack and removing it due to the…

Absolutely will not work with all RVs

We have a 2017 flagpole with a rounded face and a huge window. This bike carrier is NOT SUITABLE for RVs with a bulbous or convex front. The bike will be by the window. a rear angled or straight front end will work well. We need to use it with the "y" towards the truck. Because of this, we can't put anything bigger than a kid's bike on it, otherwise it will bang against the back door of the truck when turning. In addition, putting the bikes on is very uncomfortable due to the height of the…

Reliable solution for transporting bikes on a caravan

After reading horror stories about rear bumper mounted bike carriers on caravans I looked at two options for tongue mounting. I liked the look of it and it seemed flexible to adapt to any bikes I wanted to take with me. Installation was easy (you need to remove the jack) and there are many ways to move the hooks and anchors. At home I take off the top and store it indoors. From the moment I transfer the top to the trailer to the moment the bike is secured = about 15 minutes. An added bonus is…

Perfect solution! It is useful to assemble bikes with a second hand.

Excellent solution for attaching bikes to a trailer instead of behind a trailer or loading them onto a truck. I suggest using tote bag mounts to mount bikes, but ditch the "SwayStop" pins. They get in the way and can bend the spokes of the bicycle if they are installed incorrectly. Instead, I used a bungee cord to hold the two bikes together. Between the hanging hooks secured with the included rubber straps and the bungee, I'm confident my bikes are secure. The trunk is tall and a helping hand…

It was exactly what we were looking for!

Ordered and received just in time for a summer trip across the three states. Absolutely delighted. We even crossed the bridge over the bay and got on the ferry with no problems. Really appreciate the advice one buyer gave about simply lowering the tailgate of your truck to give you a stable platform to load your bikes on. Just make sure you position your truck next to the camper the way you want to hitch it. Agree that it's easier if you hand over the rear handlebars of the bike together with…

Great bike rack, pathetic instructions

This bike rack was perfect for our needs. We are towing a trailer so it wasn't possible to use the box on the back of the truck and the roof of the truck was already occupied with other equipment and it was too high. Installing a luggage rack on an unmodified standard equipment bumper was not safe (many problems when weighting down the stock bumper except for the spare tire). So, Jack - That was our choice. Also, I like being able to see the bikes when we travel. The bike ride is very stable…

Accessories must be completed

OK. In summary, it does what it promises with great difficulty and some risk of damaging the trailer when loading and unloading bikes. Multiple issues 1. The official photo of the bikes on the trailer posted on the Revain sales site is fake. It shows 2 lace loops that hold the pedals to the bike mount and these lace loops are not included or part of the instructions. The official image does not show the lower anti-roll bars. which serve exclusively to prevent bicycles from rocking and are not…
