Now that I've been using it for over a year, I don't really like it anymore. My biggest complaint is that it only has 2 settings, on or off. "On" gets too hot for me in the summer when I want to cook something slowly for 5 hours, but instead it's ready in 1-1.5 hours. The fusible link in the pot broke recently which is disappointing. And after taking it apart, I was surprised to see how cheaply this thing was made, especially how much it costs. If it had 4 settings (off, low, high, warm) I would buy another one. I also found it too small for me. Although I only cook for myself, it fills up too quickly when I want to cook something. And since I use solar energy for this in my van, I like to cook for several days to get the most out of solar energy on a day with good sun. Of course the size is not a disadvantage and I am not deducting a star for the size as you know you are buying a tiny pot. Since I have a good inverter in my van, I am planning to replace this broken unit with a new one. a regular 2 or 3 QT household appliance that has all the features I'm looking for, including something programmable so it can start cooking while I'm climbing or something. Maybe even an intelligent version that I can monitor and control remotely. My 3 stars for lack of features (on/off only), poor quality and cost. I'd only give it 2 stars for that, but other than that it's a pretty useful appliance, I've actually cooked in it quite a few times.
