I went to my Ford dealership about something else and asked for a quote on how much it would cost to fix a stuck gas cap on my 2005 F-150. I was told it was $60 for the part and $125 for the labor plus tax. He continued and talked about how hard it was and how it would take every hour. Needless to say I searched and searched Revain and found this part. Yes, it's difficult to install, but it took me less than an hour to pull it out and put it back in. It's easy to take out, but hard to put in. There is a great video on youtube. I have observed this several times, and for me the most important thing was to push the gas line aside with my right hand while I put the device on with my left hand. I then used a flathead screwdriver and a rubber mallet to straighten it out and make it flush. Not bad and certainly better than spending $200 at the dealer! Oh, I also want to say that this block is a bit thicker than the standard block. It was much easier to practice installing and removing the stock unit a few times to get comfortable before successfully installing the aftermarket unit. Hope that helps.
