Tight but good product

This is by no means a bad product. Works well, does its job. It was very tight fitting it into the factory cutout, I think the mold is slightly larger than the OEM. The screws fitted perfectly and my fuel filler flap now stays closed.

Pros
  • Good price
Cons
  • Expandable

Will not fit fuel system

I bought this for my 2006 Ford F-150. The product does not fit. At first I thought it was me, maybe I didn't know how to wear it. However, I bought the part from Autozone and had it replaced in less than 10 minutes. Don't buy this. Installing this part shouldn't take that much effort. You should be able to install with minimal effort.

Pros
  • Sturdy finish
Cons
  • Unreliable

Check out YouTube before you start.

What I bought was the cheapest and maybe I should have spent a little more money because it was a bit cheaper. It's not as easy as the ones in the video. and it doesn't seem to fit the way it should, but for now it's ok, but overall it's ok, and as long as I don't look at it closely it will be ok>

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Ok

Firm support: fuel tanks and accessories

Fits 2005 F150 but with difficulty. The way it was designed by Ford requires a lot of movement and the thought that you're going to break it. I'm sure each body panel is unique which made things tricky, but there seems to be only slight differences in the molding of the plastic which makes installing a new one more difficult than removing an old one. It worked well and appears to be a quality replacement.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Nothing

Good price but installation is painful and noisy

Installation was painful, rear shape is different and difficult to fit into the hole. I had to pry it off and use a rubber mallet lightly. Then the clamps that hold it are tight, I also had to knock them out with a hammer and be careful not to break them. If he was inside, then everything is fine. Works well but there is a loud click when opening or closing. If you don't mind the installation or an annoying click, it's worth it for 20 euros.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Hard to say

Good price and great product

I have been using tape to close my fuel filler flap for a number of years. I ran out of tape and decided to order this product. Good price and great product. Looks and fits exactly like the original OEM it replaced. It fits snugly in the hole in the fender so don't be discouraged and try sending it back. It takes a bit of fiddling and effort to get through the hole, but one day it will fit perfectly. I highly recommend watching some videos on U-Tube, very detailed and helpful. Many Thanks.

Will not fit 2005 F-150

I bought this a few months ago and only tried to install it today. Although the original part and this part look the same, there is definitely a size difference. I was able to install it, but I needed a belt sander for the areas around the bottom exhaust port and the corner around the top right screw hole to shave it just enough to fit. If I need to replace it again, I'll just spend the extra money to get a genuine Ford part. It was a very frustrating installation experience due to poor…

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Easy repairability

Pay special attention

Carefully remove the cap from the old hinge before attempting to remove the bag from the trolley. If you look closely, you'll see two slots that you can insert a medium-sized flathead screwdriver into. Right click to share. Remove the three screws that attach the bag to the fill tube bracket. Be careful not to drop any of them into the stuffing tube. Now you can remove the bag. There are 2 more screwdriver release points for the large screwdriver at 10 and 2. Loosen these clamps. Don't be…

Definitely worth the money and it works!

I went to my Ford dealership about something else and asked for a quote on how much it would cost to fix a stuck gas cap on my 2005 F-150. I was told it was $60 for the part and $125 for the labor plus tax. He continued and talked about how hard it was and how it would take every hour. Needless to say I searched and searched Revain and found this part. Yes, it's difficult to install, but it took me less than an hour to pull it out and put it back in. It's easy to take out, but hard to put in…
