I was so surprised to find that such an inexpensive unit could be so effective at keeping my 55 gallon aquarium clean. I have 2 very large Plecos who obviously love the food I feed them (Bug Bites Pleco formula) anyway they defecate in long strings of feces and I scoop them up twice a day to keep the surrounding area clean. There is also a very large Oscar in this aquarium. At first I just used one of the waveforms and placed it lower in the aquarium thinking it would help blow the feces into my 2 filter pumps. I really didn't see any difference. So I watched some videos on Youtube and found that the wave generator is more effective when placed higher in the aquarium. I have used both devices and they are between my two filters and about 7 inches above. The cable is just the right length. I hope this product proves its durability. It's quiet and just works!
