This is an incredibly simple item. Unfortunately the one I received doesn't have a butt joint. The shrink wrap seemed to be the only thing holding everything together under the nylon mesh tubing. After playing around with this thing for about 2 hours trying to get it to work, I finally concluded that there was a short in the wiring harness. I understand that anything made by humans has the potential to have problems. I'm taking it personally because I'm out of luck who had the problem. I will find a replacement. If it works I will come back and edit this review. This is definitely the product you need when you put in hard work. That is, if there is continuity between both ends of the wire. I hope link #2 works.
