Easy to install for speed camera detectors

I have three. The earlier ones only have two wires with different tips that are connected. The newer version has four wires with insulating caps for the two that aren't used. Both work well, but the first has less dangling wires. A simple connection allows you to use your detector in multiple locations, but most importantly without unsightly cables strewn about the dashboard and windshield. A bit pricey for what you get but apparently I thought my effort was worth it for not assembling the…

Best buy in a long time!

The cable hanging from the windshield to the cigarette lighter is not only an inconvenience, it also tells cops and thieves that you have a radar detector and are using a valuable source of energy. Tapping into mirror cables is your answer IF you already power your rearview mirror, like a card. The assembly is very well done and the cable is better than the original. I've done mine in the past but at this price? I will buy another instead of making my own. What's more, it's HALF the price of a…

Installing Porsche Cayenne GTS for Valentine 1 Gen 2

Let's just say it's a hassle to disassemble the car. I found good videos and instructions but still took an hour. Followed instructions I found on Rennspeed. Connected. Checked. The fuse has blown. Fixed fused CLOSED open ends and wala! It works.1. Get trimming tools before hacking your car's ride. I ordered them here on Revain.2. Find good instructions on how to disassemble the car.3. Once you know which connector you are going to use (thin or thick), close other covers.4. Connect them…

    Worked well with my V1

Used it to wire a ValentineOne radar detector in my 19 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited X. Worked very well and cost several times cheaper than some brands out there. Aside from a drill and (optional) trim removal tools, only duct tape was needed to complete the clean install. The only (very minor) problem is that the section of wiring where the +/- wires split into two pairs of +/- wires (hidden under the braid) is obviously the thickest part of the wiring. So if you need to drill a hole in the…

Faulty Wiring Harness - Quality Control?

This is an incredibly simple item. Unfortunately the one I received doesn't have a butt joint. The shrink wrap seemed to be the only thing holding everything together under the nylon mesh tubing. After playing around with this thing for about 2 hours trying to get it to work, I finally concluded that there was a short in the wiring harness. I understand that anything made by humans has the potential to have problems. I'm taking it personally because I'm out of luck who had the problem. I will…

    Doesn't work for me.

Tried to install a mirror faucet. This is for a 2010 Mazdaspeed 3 with auto dimming and homelink. I had a Uniden R7 radar detector connector. First, it's too long. I mean how far away should the mirror be? It's good that it has two sets of connectors, but it would be better if you could just swap out different sizes with just one cable. The two remaining wires are now in the way and the cable is already too long. I was able to use the smaller connector as the larger one is too big. I read 12…

Greta quality and easy installation in a 2018 Buick Regal!

Used to install the Uniden R3 in a 2018 Buick Regal Sportback. Installation took literally 2 minutes after figuring out which pins are supplying 12v with my multimeter. Luckily I only had 3 pins to test, so that part was easy too. I simply attached some unrolled paperclips to the ends of my multimeter and stuck them into the female ends of the wire harness until it read 12v. I expected the whole process to be a huge pain so I pushed it back a week but it was almost like Buick made this car work

    Effective product!

Got my new Uniden R7 radar detector fully wired into my daily driver (add a circuit device connected to a switchable fuse, power supply + chassis ground + Uniden wiring kit with mute button, all fished out of the dash and body panels). This project required about $50 for additional wiring and significant disassembly of the car to route the wiring etc. This job took about 2 hours and was not for the faint hearted. I was planning to use the detector in my wife's long haul car (she has a…
