M-Max 6QT Stainless Steel Kettle Pros and Cons

M-Max 6QT Stainless Steel Kettle[PROS]β€’ Shipping was good I ordered the kettle on May 14, 2020 and received it on May 20, 2020 . β€’ The kettle was large, but that wasn't a problem as I was looking for something bigger than my original kettle. My family and I are big tea drinkers (all day, every day) so refilling an old kettle was a constant nuisance. So I just needed a bigger kettle. β€’ It's a whistling kettle (laughs). I had no problem with the kettle whistling even when it was half full. WARNING! It's not exactly a whistle, but a faint sound like a freight train (laughs), it surprised me. I miss the sound of my old kettle so much (sigh). β€’ The handy spout drew me in because judging by my old kettle which had a trigger that you squeeze to pour, the trigger would get stuck and the spout lid would get stuck in the open position β€’ The kettle is sturdy and light weight. will be cleaned. I like being able to look inside. [CONS] β€’ Since the kettle is large, it is obvious that the water takes longer to boil after filling. (No problem) β€’ Since I bought this kettle, the color of this kettle has changed drastically both inside and outside, which usually happens over time. I suspect it's due to the constant heat, but that's over time, not over 1 week of use. β€’ Today (31st May 2020) my mum tried to lift the lid to fill the kettle and the black tab came loose as did the strap holding the kettle. it's intact, it must have melted. Without a handle, we have to use a sharp object to open the lid, so this is the end of this teapot. [CONCLUSION] β€’ In general, if you or your family use kettles frequently, I wouldn't recommend this particular kettle, especially if you need to refill as often as I do. From my experience, it is not durable with intensive use.
