Review on BOSS Audio CH6520 Car Speakers by David Gonzalez

Why I Bought $16 Speakers? Purely out of curiosity. I had a 2001 Suzuki Swift with blown factory speakers and wanted to see how they performed. I hooked them up to a 50 watt Rockford Fosgate amp and they work pretty well. According to Boss, the frequency response is 100Hz-18kHz. I would say that they reproduce the upper range correctly, but they reproduce frequencies below 100Hz. They play about as deep as you'd expect from a 6.5-inch speaker - if the right amount of power is used. I actually just ripped off the tweeters and used them as woofers along with a set of Dayton tweeters and they do a very good job mid to mid bass for the price. Fun little experiment, but don't expect too much from them (after all, they cost about the same as a loaded chipotle burrito)
