Very good equipment to get into my 13ft motorhome. The ladder at the base is made of wide aluminum cylinders with a wide rung, which greatly increases stability. Some complaints have been that it's heavy, but heavy use is its main quality. As already mentioned, the release buttons fold in the stages one by one with a whoosh of air. Gradually they return to their original state. Swap out the strap and I can wear it under one arm. I'm a tall guy and with tools I lift as much weight as possible - I need a secure ladder that won't slip, snag, pinch or slide. I store it under the floor and it fits where the RV goes, eliminating the need for all my other A-frame stools and ladders. It's not the most expensive ladder, but I don't think you'll find a more durable one. I give five stars. Poppy
