Review on Adjustable Shower Head Extension Arm by Jason Connolly

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Excellent workmanship, free screw routing

Purchased for use with rain shower. The extension itself is very high quality, heavy gauge brass and chrome. As you can see in the photo it has two adjustment points, both controlled by a manually operated wing nut. The first hinge controls the angle of the rod/showerhead up and down, moving the showerhead higher/closer to the wall or lower/away from the wall. The second hinge helps to adjust the angle of the shower head by yourself if it doesn't have a hinge. This is more or less redundant if the shower head you are using has a ball joint (most have). too far along the spiral, so at the wrong angle (and the shower head would have been tilted almost 90 degrees so it was pointing at the shower hole) or too loose to flop AND leak on touch. There is no way to adjust this on the extension itself which is frustrating because as far as I can tell this would be easy to do if the end that attaches to the water pipe had an independent threaded ring rather than a fixed one. one piece. That is, if it's bolted on like a garden hose (for example, you don't have to twist the whole damn hose over and over again to attach it to the spigot). You should take this into account by using an excess amount of teflon tape so that the extension will stop spinning sooner than normal and get a tighter fit. Even then, it's still a bit loose, and for a perfectionist, the fact that it doesn't fully feed into the spiral track is frustrating.
