Revainrating 3 out of 5

One of those things like insurance or a standing army that you like you hope never to have use. It meets the requirements of Hawaiian trailer regulations. and this is an inexpensive way to do it. For my heavier trailers, I use a 5/16 grade 70 chain with no extra welds, terminating in 6" double locking clips that are like a double safety pistol that performs two actions for the trigger to drop. Hammer. This safety chain is suitable if you follow the chain rules of under hook crossing which gives minimal slack in case the clutch fails at maximum rotation angle. jump out of the receiver due to an impact. It's probably never happened to me before, but bad things happen, like blowouts that make Mr. Toad's wild ride seem boring. Kurt sells chains and hooks that are more desirable and judging by the difference in ratings between use and test strength. This should be your guide. 2,000 lb trailer = 20,000 lb hitch and safety chains. It's a good number to live with.
