A decent OBD2 splitter for hiding a device that needs an OBD2 connection

Honda CR-V was stolen last week before the 4th of July holiday. While I know that Honda vehicles are the most stolen vehicles in the US, I wanted to make sure my 2018 Jeep Wrangler JLU didn't make that statistic. I had a GPS tracker connected to the OBD2 port but I couldn't do it. See the value in paying $10 a month for it after 2 years of nothing happening to my jeep. Then the Honda was stolen and I realized I had to reinstall the tracker. But I didn't want it to be clearly visible because any thief would see it right away and just turn it off. It also bothered me when I moved or tried to take my foot off the footboard. I needed a simple solution and this was it. Instead of a Y splitter where there would be a cable with a dangling OBD2 connector, this one had a pass-thru that went to the existing OBD2 connector and then to a 2" ribbon cable with another connector. The ribbon cable was on the left when I connected the splitter, just like I wanted. With my black interior it wasn't visible and it easily climbed under the driver's step bar. I used velcro to hold the tracker in place and taped tape around the connector on the OBD2 port to keep it powered up after being plugged in or unplugged multiple times while the reader was in use. It works great, and to top it off, the price of monitoring has come down. up to $4.00/month It should be noted that I use T-Mobile's sync and drive module and it does more than track. It notifies me when the jeep starts, the speed it's traveling at, a mileage log to track business miles, vehicle stats like fuel tank, remaining range, open reviews, etc.
