This really is a great first essence at a great price considering the quality ingredients and concentration. Instead of a key enzyme, it combines several fermented ingredients, as well as brightening niacinamide and rice extract as the main ingredient. The ingredient list is actually quite short compared to most of my other skincare products, so very focused and simple. The consistency isn't watery like many essences, it's thick enough to be applied by hand so you don't have to waste a cotton swab. It feels hydrated and absorbs quickly to prepare for the next few layers. My skin stays hydrated and soothed and the more I use it the brighter it looks. It's gentle enough that it doesn't clash with any of my other products and layers. I am really excited about this essence and can definitely recommend it!
