OK Hope this helps someone so I have what is called a crank misalignment on my bike and 3 inches left so the handlebars weren't enough to grab it, they were torn so I looked at the grips. And they all seem to be too long, none of them gave details of what they were made of so hopefully this will help someone who needs longer handlebars to grip but doesn't need the full length if you look at the picture, I was able to cut and basically reshape one end to reduce the length by an inch and a half, so it's still an inch or two longer than my little tiny knobs that came with this type of switch, but that holds up not very long when it hangs 3 inches on the end and can easily break so i haven't tested it on ridiculous mountain roads or anything yet but seems reliable if anything changes negative i will update but for now the moment is the best I can imagine for my particular situation
