This kit allowed me to rebuild a pressure cooker from a thrift store for a lot less than buying a new one. Some reviewers say it's too big. You must completely clean the mounting groove. Heat the seal in very warm water. I installed mine in a hot water pool and used the water as a lubricant. I inserted the ring into one side of the groove and then, working both ways, pushed the gasket into the groove, pushed it into the groove and back to where it was already installed. I did about an inch at a time, alternating sides until I'd gone the full circle. Perfect fit, first try.
