Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Cave Tools Multi-Purpose BBQ Utensil and Grill Accessories Hook Rack - 5 Wall Hooks Rail + Screwdriver by Fred Reid

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Poor design and only partially stainless steel construction.

I don't "hateโ€ this posture. I received it quickly. Looking at the back of the rack, the non-stainless steel screws holding CAST METAL in place, the hooks on the stainless steel mounting plate protruded beyond the back of the bar - the mounting plate would not sit firmly on a flat surface. If you install it on a surface such as B. on the edge of a grill where food can spill, it is almost impossible to clean up afterwards. The stand is not straight. When attaching the post to the surface, the fasteners pull the portions of the strip between the first and second hooks and the fourth and fifth holes close to the surface, but the middle/third hook protrudes slightly and does not lay flat. It would be better if the mounting holes were on the outside edges. The attachment strip could bend outward if something caught on the outer hook and pulled on it. The word 'stainless' is used to describe the construction - the hooks are not stainless steel but cast metal. The mounting bar is rust-free, but the hooks hold the load. Cave Tools emailed me about their awesome rack and reminded me of their BBQ recipes. I bought a shelf, not a cookbook. My grill didn't have tool hooks; that's why i bought this. Using the screwdriver provided, I removed the hooks from the mounting bar and used the bar as a template to drill holes in the side of my grill table. I then attached each hook - each secured with two screws - directly to the grill. The spacing is perfect and there is no gap between the hooks and the side of my grill. If you look at my photos, the mounting bar will be crooked - that's how it was received. This rack isn't wide enough to hang a coat unless it's light. It's not wide enough to hang the pots unless you don't mind them hitting each other. The first intended use for this rack is "BBQ" and it is interesting to note that it can be hung "next to" the grill and your photo shows it mounted to a wooden fence. It's good if you have a wooden fence or solid wall next to the grill, and not so good if you don't have one. I would only recommend purchasing if you don't care about cleaning up the cavity behind the mounting bar that is left over after installation or do what I do and remove the hooks and use the mounting bar as a template. Cave Tools states in their sent email that they need customer feedback; they got mine and I haven't heard from them until now. Bad design - what were your engineers thinking? Suggestion - DO NOT buy a rack unless you can see a photo of the back. I gave this one star because I could use hooks and 1/2 star is not recommended.
