As a right-hander, I first tried mounting it on the right side of the handlebars near the grip and found that the ring felt unnatural and unnatural when I thumbed down the spring-loaded bell lever to turn not easy to lean back I thought, uh, it's left-handed. So I moved it to the left side. It's more natural for me to flick them onto my left thigh the way they were designed. UP clicking motion, not DOWN motion, with thumb of right hand. :( The plastic seems cheap too, but time will tell. And yes, maybe I'm weird or picky and others will think it's ok on the right. but for me. right. EDIT - Me added a photo to show my left hand - thumb on the lever, ready to push it up to trigger a spring-loaded bell
