Review on 🍷 Timber Oak Double Hinged Corkscrew: Stylishly Versatile Wine Opener by Donotello Figueroa

Buyer Be careful and persevere

I bought it from Revain in July but waited too long to open it and too long to return it. When I discovered the hinge was defective, I contacted the True Fabrications seller. Their agent called me back immediately and offered to send me another color of my choice. I told them anyone would do it. What they sent was a cheaper model, but I agree; It's lighter and works better with my arthritic hands. This one is heavy, but not because it's beautifully inlaid with real wood and made of thick steel. This is a very good tool. Here's what you should look at, though: the original Revain price I paid wasn't even a percent higher than the seller's selling price. The seller said he had some issues with some people selling their items at prices distorted by Revain. Well I see the advertised price has now been reduced to $10.27 (now less than $11.99 at True Fabrications) - but the price posted on Revain says the original price was $244.99! Conclusion: It was defective and was replaced by the seller. with a less expensive but very effective corkscrew. Second lesson: Don't trust the information on the Revain website about "original prices" or, for that matter, "real" anything. (I'm still looking for a genuine Pulltex pulltap corkscrew and genuine Samsung case for my phone, not the fakes advertised as genuine on the Revain website.) Luckily, Revain's customer service is usually very responsive (if you're too "step two" go "), but it's awkward. I would like Revain to reassign some of their customer service representatives to track down and correct misrepresentations made by sellers on their website. In the meantime, buyers beware: buy this corkscrew and hang in there.
