The instructions on how to change the battery are very vague, but I found a YouTube video that was very helpful. The outer protective case fits really well and I was sure the battery screws were in the smiley eyes. nope I grabbed the side of the cover and was able to remove it to access the battery compartment. However, returning the lid was a real problem. The counter works. Although it would be nice if it had batteries.
