Review on πŸ”‹ RayHom 4 Bay Smart Battery Charger for Rechargeable 9V Lithium Batteries (Ni-MH/Ni-CD) - Includes Indicator Light by Lisa Fernandez

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Pretty disappointed with it because it's actually NOT 9V

There are some 9V rechargeable lithium cells on the market that provide true 9V DC power. They are not. Remember, these are just two LiPo batteries connected in series. You will never get more than 8.4V output. The "curve" of the discharge is a property of ordinary lithium (which unfortunately isn't flat at all), so the voltage falls off linearly. I recommend you spend a little more for a 9V lithium battery pack with a built-in BMS boost converter (see znter or similar). This way you get a full 9V output voltage and a smooth discharge voltage to the end. What you can lose with boost inefficiency is made up for over time by a flat 9V output PLUS these 9V boost batteries (see Znter) can be charged with a simple USB cable and 5V via the built in Micro -USB connection to charge the battery. I wouldn't poop on those RayHom batteries if they told buyers that the battery is actually (at best) an 8.4V battery (similar to old-fashioned 9V nickel-cadmium transistor batteries). It's not really a 9V battery.

Pros
  • . In order!
Cons
  • Expensive
