Our doorstop has a strong smell of mold

Our particular doorstop had a strong smell of mold - it could have been in a damaged container causing that smell but it really doesn't matter how it got that smell. It didn't go away after a few hours of direct sunlight so I gave up and sent it back. It also looks more like a stainless steel shell over some sort of core than solid stainless steel - not that the description says so, but make sure you're aware.
