I've had this product for a few months now and overall it ticks the box allowing you to carry up to 4 bikes wherever you need them. I have a 2013 Honda Odyssey and had to set it up a bit differently to make it work. I've read other posts about the problem with newer minivans and am unable to lock them at the top of the readable door, which is true. Therefore, PLEASE do not use the standard installation method on a new minivan model. The top of the tailgate is usually plastic and will break with significant weight. What you need is a minivan roof rack with a rear crossbar. If you don't have a roof rack, forget it. This product is not for you if you have a latest minivan. If you do everything, then don't worry. The straps and hooks normally fitted to the top of the tailgate simply attach to the rear crossbar. Follow the minivan installation instructions, but again, DO NOT install on the tailgate. Another tip is to use tape on the hooks as it tends to scratch the door. I drove my minivan almost 2,000 miles round trip on a recent vacation with 1 adult bike and 3 kids bikes in the back with no problems. I even rode through a couple of storms which wasn't much fun but the bikes were solid. Just make sure all straps are tightened as directed in the owner's manual. Very easy to install and remove. All in all a great product with a bit of optimization for new minivans.
