I gave this station three stars but it's actually 2 1/2. I bought this bird feeder to add feeders to my garden because we needed to chop down a dead pine tree that I used to pass on to my bird feeders. After researching Revain and looking at the options, features, pricing, and ratings of each station, I settled on two. This and another that were slightly different. I chose this one based on the reviews and the accessories and the price. I love anything you can put on the feeder and that it comes with some nice items for maximum bird enjoyment. to set it up. The instructions were relatively easy, but I found that they referred to the letters that corresponded to the parts on the instruction sheet, but the letters weren't listed on the parts themselves. It wasn't hard to figure out, but would be helpful when assembling the bars with the appropriate accessories. I assembled the station and installed it in the ground. The shelf is composed of three parts. Each section slides over the previous one with a button connecting them together. I had no trouble installing it as my soil wasn't too soft or too hard, but if you have hard soil you can get by with it. I found it a bit tricky to stake it in the ground because the main stake is the one with the spike and the other four stakes are square rather than dotted. The pole itself is fairly flimsy metal and wobbles despite being properly inserted into the ground. The bottom bar (the first bar and the bar that the stand rests on) is very stable where it hits the ground, but when the other two bars are added they weaken and wobble a bit, which is a slight one inclination to the ground. the footing and stability begin to weaken. To be honest I don't think it will stand up well to the winds we blow here in the upper midwest. Attachments are easy to add but the lard cage I received was broken upon arrival. The cage lid was broken on one side because the hinge that attached the lid to the cage body was completely broken at the weld. I thought about just using the zip ties as a hinge, but dismissed the idea, realizing that even with the right hinges, the lid would never snap into place. The tab you use to open it was too loose and didn't close the cage properly. I removed the lid completely which was very easy and just used it without. I cannot confirm the availability of a water bowl as it is winter here in the Midwest and the water freezes. I'll try this feature in the spring once the frost is over so as not to damage the plastic. Anyway after assembly I put some feeders on the top hooks and found that if the feeders were too heavy the rod would roll. Scared. There is movement in the bar and also where the hooks engage the top bar. I removed the feeders, which were the heaviest, and only use two hooks instead of the four I was expecting. I'll need to buy lighter feeders, maybe tube feeders, to reduce the stress on the rod. Also, the grid tray is too low in my opinion and if fed from the ground birds may like the intended height, as may squirrels and cats. The peculiarity of the nozzles is that you can adjust their placement. But be warned, unless you plan on disassembling the station to move attachments, which can be a problem, I'd recommend thinking about placement before putting everything together. In general, this station looks very nice, but it needs work on durability and functionality. I tried threading a piece of rebar through the bar to see if it would give more stability and hold more weight, but in the end I decided I shouldn't. I even tried to return it but the thought of taking it all apart and sending it back makes me a little sad and not worth the hassle of dismantling the station. Are you happy.
