I was immediately struck by the sharpness of this lens. It competes with the best M4/3 lenses like the Pan/Leica 25mm f/1.4 and the Olympus 75mm f/1.8. This, combined with its small size and f/1.7 maximum aperture, makes it a very valuable tool for any M4/3 user. One criticism I always heard about this lens was that the autofocus was pretty slow. If this is your concern, you don't have to worry. Focuses very quickly and accurately. Technically it might be slower than some of the other M4/3 lenses, but you say it could be a few hundredths of a second slower - hardly anything to worry about.
