Tire pressure sensor leaking

I like the concept very much. BUT after a recent service at the local garage, after the truck returned home and stopped in the driveway, the tire was completely flat! I checked for a leak with soapy water and found nothing. The valve stem gauge was screwed tight. Further investigation showed that the O-ring had shrunk in valve gauge size, and when the pressure cap pin pressed against the valve stem, it only took about three hours for the pressure to fully release. The tire pressure gauge must have a permanent sealing surface that is retained. in the header every time you delete it. The local shop doesn't know enough about this to verify that the o-ring is seated in the gauge cap.
