Out of Service: Tires and Wheels

What an elegant product. buy for 2 cars and buy for 3rd buy for 3rd car and this is an amazing product. See how your tires are performing at a glance. SweetRevised Review. Goods on 3 cars. A Lexus valve stem broke off the sink causing it to fly off! It sticks out too far and the machine ripped off the rod. Not good. On my Mercedes coupe, the indicator (28) was green when the tire was at 22. The tire was so low that it turned right. The check was good, but my pressure gauge showed the true…

Good for my use. for accessories and parts

I bought these for my Jeep JK which has larger tires with a maximum pressure of 80psi. For outdoor use I use 60-65psi so I needed to be able to see if they were good. It solves this problem, is easy to read and still looks good against the background of the discs. I don't think they're "beautiful," but they're not a particular trait for peppy boys. I've tried them on 3 vehicles to make sure they're being read correctly and so far they seem to be working well. I don't see or notice any leaks on…

Works Great: Butt Plates

So far they've worked great for me. I bought 50psi for my trailer and tested them by depressurizing and they turned yellow at 45psi and started showing red at 35-40psi. It should be noted that when it's yellow it still looks mostly green. What happens is that the green starts to sink in and only shows some yellow towards the end of the cap. As it continues to descend, it shows yellow and red. So I have to look at them very closely to see if yellow shows up. Also, make sure they're tightened…

Tire pressure sensor leaking

I like the concept very much. BUT after a recent service at the local garage, after the truck returned home and stopped in the driveway, the tire was completely flat! I checked for a leak with soapy water and found nothing. The valve stem gauge was screwed tight. Further investigation showed that the O-ring had shrunk in valve gauge size, and when the pressure cap pin pressed against the valve stem, it only took about three hours for the pressure to fully release. The tire pressure gauge must…

Read the description: Accurate to 20%

I bought 50psi for my mountain bike because in a few weeks I need to top up for some reason. I inflated the tires to 50psi, which is decent for road use (45-60psi). After a few days the tires were soft but the hubcaps were completely green. I took them off and the gauge read 37psi. I ran an experiment: the caps show green until they drop below 36psi. It's too low. Red - 25 psi (out of 50). I went back and read the description and saw where it says they are accurate to within 20% for green…

One of the 65psi got my big trailer tire up to 45psi in about 12 hours.

Someone blew air out of my tire. Be careful and check after installation. The one 65psi I had on the big trailer tire took my tire to 45psi in 12 hours which was checked with a great gauge. I then switched the monitor to a different tire after inflating the original tire again and the other tire blew out. Other monitor caps that I have installed on two other machines work fine. I didn't hear any air coming out. The wheel is big and a lot of air comes out. The good news is that the indicator was

Makes routine visual checks of my car even easier

I have a car with a bad TPMS sensor. The car doesn't tell me who has the problem. It only indicates that everything is ok in the absence of a signal lamp, or that everything is not ok with a single lamp. Given the age of my car, it's probably a dead battery and it's advisable to replace the other three at the same time. Until I can, this product allows me to quickly confirm that all of my tires are indeed at the recommended pressure during a safe ride-through. They are also present after…

Easy way to check tire pressure if you don't have TPMS

I bought three sets of these valve covers. None of my cars have a TPMS system and I'm too lazy to constantly check tire pressures with a tire pressure gauge to actually avoid punctures and help with fuel economy. These baseball caps are easy to put on, easy to read, and appear to be well made. The canopy will change color from green (properly inflated or at the pressure the canopy is rated for), yellow for depressurization, and red for severe psi loss or a flat condition. Anyway, when I walk…

WARNING! BE CAREFUL WITH IT!

people I was so happy to receive such a highly rated product. I ordered 36 PSI caps and put them on my bike's front and rear tires. I made my first trip with these pups and checked them and my tires before I went. About 5 minutes into the ride, I noticed the handling was getting squirrel-like. After 10 minutes I had to stop because I felt something was seriously wrong. Lo and behold, my rear tire was flat almost to the rim. I look for holes and since I can't find them, I check the valves. The…
