For the price these grips are pretty good. I bought these for my wife to try out because she wanted something more comfortable than the ODI Elite Motion which I put on all our bikes and the foam is definitely thicker. Time will tell about the durability. The real problem with these grips - and the reason for the three star rating - is that the inner plastic tube is too narrow, making them only usable with a hammer. And that means they're very difficult to remove, which completely defeats the purpose of the locking buttons. I ended up wrapping 100 grit sandpaper around a wooden stick and sanding down the inner tube to make it bigger and smoother. It's not difficult, you stick a dowel/sandpaper in the handle and press down while rolling the handle across the workbench. I finished with 400 grit sandpaper to make them perfectly smooth and they went over the handlebars with minimal effort.
