Online chat support agents cannot help you with prepaid accounts, and phone support agents for prepaid accounts say that (a) you manage your MiFi prepaid accounts through a different portal than the regular Verizon portal , (b) you can obtain information through this portal by trying to access the internet through your MiFi when you run out of data, and (c) this portal is currently unavailable. Please note that the Verizon website behaves as if you could register your MiFi on it. It will ask for the phone number assigned to the device (10 digits), then the device ID (15 digits), then your SIM card ID (20 digits), and then asks you to select a prepaid plan. However, when you click the button to select a plan, it will again ask you for a phone number (10 digits) and a SIM card ID (20 digits) and then generates some kind of nonsensical error message. Don't waste your time.
