Low Cost LTE Home/Business

I even live outside of copper lines, so fast wired Internet was not an option. I've tried various Clearwire WALAN (-1SP) wireless internet connections with some local residents who installed a 3ft antenna on my roof and they all had the same problem. When it started raining, they left. My best experience so far has been with the Cricket Crosswave AP which usually gave me 1Mbps and still has some features not available on the 4510L. I like the internal storage slot and the ability to create your

Read This Before You Buy

BREAKING: All data you purchase will expire 30 days from the date of purchase. So don't plan on getting 10GB for $90 as this is the best deal unless you actually expect to use 10 gigabytes in the next 30 days. Also, you can't create a MyVerizon account for it. Online chat support agents cannot help you with prepaid accounts, and phone support agents for prepaid accounts say that (a) you manage your MiFi prepaid accounts through a different portal than the regular Verizon portal , (b) you can…

A big problem; ultimate success

There are three traps here. (1) The Verizon Wireless MIFI 4510L WI-FI 4G LTE Portable Hotspot came without a SIM card. (2) The instructions didn't say anything about activation - the shop where I bought the SIM card told me it can be activated via www through my laptop. Not true. It took an hour and a half to activate it by phone. (3) Although this model number is the same as the prepaid (non-contract) version of this MIFI device, Verizon was unable to activate it with the SIM card we purchased

Great MiFi device with 3G/4G support

Great MiFi device and much better than the hotspots currently offered by Verizon (in stores or places like Walmart). This is a reliable model that can switch between 4G and 3G. Newer models only support 4G, but the reality is that there is no 4G coverage in some of the country's more rural areas. If you never leave the metropolis, a 4G-only device will probably work just fine. The battery life is around 4 hours of constant use, but you can use it while charging. As a bonus, it uses the same…

Not really yet

I've had mixed success with this MIFI. The Verizon plan is 5 GB per month. When 4G is in a safe place it works fine, although it may turn off. It's also getting very hot. You also can't use it when it's charging. Others have complained that I only use it in a weak 3G area and need an antenna. On the plus side, it's better to buy an iPad with Wi-Fi only because it's $100 less than a 4G model, and then buy a Mifi. It's also more versatile.
