Great MiFi device and much better than the hotspots currently offered by Verizon (in stores or places like Walmart). This is a reliable model that can switch between 4G and 3G. Newer models only support 4G, but the reality is that there is no 4G coverage in some of the country's more rural areas. If you never leave the metropolis, a 4G-only device will probably work just fine. The battery life is around 4 hours of constant use, but you can use it while charging. As a bonus, it uses the same mini USB connector as an Android phone. The device doesn't come with a SIM card, so I just took it to the Verizon store, activated the device, got a SIM card, and a monthly subscription. - monthly service bill. I use this MiFi account with Verizon to cover the coverage gaps I get from using Sprint as my wireless carrier. So if I know I'm going into an area where Sprint is patchy, I buy a month's worth of data and don't have to worry about it. I am very happy with this MiFi and am actually considering buying a second one as a backup in case mine breaks down.
