UPDATE. After my previous review of this scale, I was contacted by Nicewell customer service and arranged to send me a new scale. The batteries are still GP branded, but so far they are working better. The company's customer service is very satisfactory. I highly recommend you try this scale. A gentle touch of the ON/OFF button turns it on or off. The scale is very light and has a stylish design. The numbers on the bright display are clearly visible day and night. What I like best is that some parts are made of plastic, which I try to avoid as much as possible. I received my new scale a few days ago. It came with two new GP batteries. When I used it yesterday, the numbers kept changing. I weighed different items and got different results for each item. I even compared the results with another scale and found that the results are very different. I thought something was wrong with my new scale. I decided to remove the GP batteries and replace them with Energizer batteries. Problem solved! Good reliable batteries can save your day!
