Review on JET Bench Oscillating Sander 7 5 by Dee Parson

First, the spindle sander works well. It has enough power not to slow down with moderate spindle pressure. If not for the following 4 reasons I would give the car 5 stars. All 4 reasons are related to the decisions of the jet development team. 1) Spindles and inserts do not fit in the slots on the sides of the machine. The slots/holes are too small. They can be the right size before powder coating, but not after. So I either have to remove the powder coating or store the accessories elsewhere. 2) There is no storage space on the machine for the three keys supplied. 3) The dust port is 2 inches (yes, it is listed in the product description). ). Standard shop vacuum hoses are 1-1/4" and 2-1/2" in diameter. Connections for dust collection machines are typically 4 inches. What is Jet doing? They use a 2 inch connector. Now I need to find and BUY a 2" to 2-1/4" or 2" to 4" adapter. 4) As mentioned in other reviews, the packaging materials in the box are not up to date. The unit comes with the base mounted on about 1/2 inch thick foam. My device arrived with a damaged base. Yes I could send it back to Revain and request a replacement. But judging by the way it was packaged, as well as other reviews, there was no guarantee the next device wouldn't arrive with more damage. I had to replace one of the legs and bend the bar around the edge back into place. A few pieces of powder coating have chipped off. I was able to make repairs BUT I SHOULD NOT BE NEEDED.
