JET Bench Oscillating Sander 7 5 Review

The package came in factory packaging. There were some signs of knocking on the outside of the box, but no more than you'd expect given the amount of handling it has undergone during shipping. The mill has arrived in good condition. The packaging was a foam shell. The bottom of the package was weak, cracked but arrived safe and sound. For fit and finish I would give it an 8 out of 10. The edges of the smaller steel spindles are very sharp and I cut my hand on one of them. None of them were beveled. I fixed it with a file. The concentricity on the spindles is about ten thousandths. First, the spindle sander works well. It has enough power not to slow down with moderate spindle pressure. If not for the following 4 reasons I would give the car 5 stars. All 4 reasons are related to the decisions of the jet development team. 1) Spindles and inserts do not fit in the slots on the sides of the machine. The slots/holes are too small. They can be the right size before powder coating, but not after. So I either have to remove the powder coating or store the accessories elsewhere…
