There is comfort and stretch but sizes run slightly larger. Used once and my cat almost slipped off me. I bought this to teach my new cat to be outside with us (I have another cat that is perfect for a harness and can be tied up and left outside like a dog to roam the garden). I'm giving 1 star because it was a larger size than I thought my cat would fit. Works perfectly! But for padding and comfort, it's there! The leash is also much shorter than expected.
