Great for keeping my hermit crabs in optimal conditions. I placed an aquarium fan on the cooling side and adjusted the settings so that it turns on at 89°. When it gets that hot, the alarm will sound for a second and turn on the fan to cool the tank down to the programmed 85° before shutting off. Reduces wear and tear on the Ultratherm at the back of the tank which can actually be inefficient, overheat and shut down when running at full power 24 hours a day. My only wish is to include a sleeve to protect the probe from condensation giving false readings. *Just a small note: no fan required or required for cooling. If I didn't have a fan the Inkbird would just sound an alarm and momentarily turn off the heat until it stabilized.
