07/06/2012. As others have posted, this is the only tool I have found that will work on the underside of a 2007 Ford Fusion oil filter cartridge holder. My first attempt at a filter was using a filter from Advanced Auto Parts and no, they didn't stock a replacement tool. Not wanting to wait for the tool to be mailed to me, I called the NAPA store with the same size product available through Revain. Yes, they have a tool for this size, but it is a tool for a size range that includes the actual size needed - a 15mm span. When I tried the bottom of the cartridge holder, it turned out to be too big. So that meant I had to go back to the store to return it. I drained my engine oil before realizing my existing filter was not working. Ford said I could wait 7,500 miles between oil and filter changes, but the Ford dealer maintenance department suggested 5,000 miles. Since I've only used the old oil for 5,000 miles, it won't hurt the engine to leave the old filter in place until a new tool arrives in the mail. However, I replaced the drain plug and put new oil in to continue using the machine. Later, when I got a really good filter tool, I poured the new oil into an empty plastic milk jug with a screw top and a cut-out on one side. Of course I had an oil pan under the milk jug for extra protection. Using a funnel I was able to carefully pour used "new" oil into another empty milk jug (one without a side cutout) and from that jug pour the oil back through the funnel into the engine. The next filter change should be MUCH faster!
